Tournament Structure

Australia/New Zealand Online Qualifier:

The Online Qualifiers, played on Xbox 360, will host a One Day Single Elimination bracket. In a Single Elimination bracket once your team loses a match you are knocked out of the tournament. The top 8 teams within Australia and New Zealand will be pre-seeded 1st – 8th in their corresponding bracket, the rest of the field will be seeded randomly.

The top 3 placing teams in the Australia Online Qualifier and the winning team in the New Zealand Online Qualifier will earn a qualification spot to the Call of Duty Championship ANZ Final.

Players from teams that place top 32 will be awarded MLG Pro Points based on their team’s result, which will seed them throughout the duration of the Call of Duty Championship ANZ competition.

ANZ Live Event Qualifier:

The Live Event Qualifier, played on Xbox 360, will host a 2 day tournament that will see Pool Play leading into a Double Elimination bracket. Pool play will be seeded by the MLG Pro Points players have accumulated so far during the Call of Duty Championship ANZ competition.

From the Live Event Qualifier 4 Qualification spots will be earned for the ANZ Finals.

Players from teams that place top 64 will be awarded MLG Pro Points based on their team's result and teams that have already earned a qualification spot in the Online Qualifiers can increase their seed by earning more MLG Pro Points leading into the Call of Duty Championship ANZ Final.

The ANZ Live Qualifier is a BYO event, meaning competitors will need to bring with them their Console, Tv/Monitors, Game Disc, Headset, all cords, and any and all other equipment required to compete.

Call of Duty Championship ANZ Final:

The Call of Duty Championship ANZ Final event live from Sydney will see ANZ’s 8 best teams (3 from the Australia Online Qualifier, 1 from the New Zealand Online Qualifier and 4 from the Live Event Qualifier) invited to compete at the Final event.

Here competitors will be placed directly into an 8 team Double Elimination bracket, their seeds based on their MLG Pro Points accumulated during the campaign.

The tournament will play out over 1 day until a Champion is crowned. The top 2 finalists will each earn a qualification spot at Call of Duty Championship global finals.

Call of Duty Championship ANZ Points System - MLG Pro Points

MLG Pro Points will be used as the points system awarded to players that place within the points threshold in the Online Qualifiers and the ANZ Live Qualifier.

The MLG Pro Points distribution will be awarded as such: Online Qualifiers - 2000 Series, awarded to the Top 32 placing teams and the ANZ Live Event Qualifier - 5000 Series, awarded to the Top 64 placing teams.

MLG Pro Points will carry over from the Online Qualifiers to the Live Event Qualifier, giving qualified teams a chance to increase their seed for the ANZ Final event. So, the more Qualifiers a qualified team competes in the better seed they will be awarded towards the ANZ Final.

MLG Pro Points will also stay with you throughout 2014, if you ever chose to compete in Gamebattles or MLG Live Events.
